John Louis Wedge V
September 28, 1995 – June 30, 2020

Johnny became an angel on June 30, 2020. He will be deeply missed by his father John, mother Terry, and sisters Amanda and Katie.

Born and raised in Grand Terrace, California, Johnny spent his childhood playing under the giant shady tree in front of his house, surrounded by family and friends. From the time he was three years old, he discovered his love of sports, starting with soccer and eventually finding his true passion in baseball. A loyal Yankees fan who shared countless games with his mom, Johnny’s enthusiasm for life extended far beyond the field.

He loved swimming in the ocean, camping in the mountains, skateboarding, bicycling, and playing video games with his friends. Kauai became his “happy place,” a destination filled with joyful memories and laughter.

Johnny had a deep love for music and dreamed of learning to play guitar. He carried a heart so big it overflowed with compassion for others. He often spoke of his wish to become a family therapist to help people who struggle with anxiety and depression.

Johnny’s spirit was wise beyond his years. One of his final and greatest acts of love was becoming an organ donor. Through the donation of his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys, he gave others—including George—the gift of a second chance at life.
